If you’ve been discouraged by your lack of progress in therapy then DBT might be a good fit for you. DBT helps you gain control of your emotional reactions and problematic behaviors by teaching new skills in an environment that welcomes you without judgment just as you are.
If you are looking for a new approach to mental wellness reach out today. Our program is virtual and open to Colorado residents.
Adults, Teens, and Parents
DBT was originally developed for adults ages 18+ who struggle to gain control of their problematic emotional reactions which often leads to impulsive or destructive behaviors that impair relationships, general wellbeing, and may prevent achieving long term goals.
Loving someone with intense emotions is both colorful and complicated. A skilled DBT therapist will provide parents and family members the education, validation, and skills the need to support their loved one in the most effective ways.
DBT was adapted for teenagers who struggle with destructive or dangerous behaviors in response to emotional volatility. DBT creates a validating environment where teens 13+ and their families can find solace, support, and practical skills to foster independence, build strong relationships, and regain behavioral control.
With over 15 years of leadership in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Sarah Post brings extensive expertise and compassion to mental health. She is intensively trained in DBT by the Behavioral Tech Institute, and has helped many individuals with challenges such as borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder regain control over their lives.
Specializing in teens, adults, and parents, Sarah creates a validating space for clients to develop emotion regulation skills. She is known for her direct and nonjudgmental approach that is grounded in mindful presence.
