Loving someone with intense emotions is both colorful and complicated. A skilled DBT therapist will provide parents and family members the education, validation, and skills the need to support their loved one in the most effective ways.

DBT was adapted for teenagers who struggle with destructive or dangerous behaviors in response to emotional volatility. DBT creates a validating environment where teens 13+ and their families can find solace, support, and practical skills to foster independence, build strong relationships, and regain behavioral control.
